Staying at Hotel Xcaret México: All-Inclusive Elegance in the Heart of Nature

Tucked into the lush, emerald heart of the Riviera Maya, Hotel Xcaret México is more than just a resort — it’s a fully immersive experience where nature, culture, and luxury intertwine. From the moment I arrived, I felt transported — not just to a new destination, but into a beautifully designed world of its own.
I stayed in the Fuego building, the adults-only section of the resort — a secluded sanctuary within the larger property. Fuego guests have exclusive access to their own rooftop pool with sweeping jungle and ocean views, and a private restaurant that adds another layer of intimacy and calm to the experience. It’s quiet, elevated, and undeniably indulgent.
Dining across the property is a journey in itself, but one of the standouts for me was Bio — a plant-forward restaurant nestled into a natural cave setting. It’s unlike anywhere I’ve ever eaten. I ordered the pancakes (twice) — fluffy, lightly sweet, and beautifully plated. The setting, the flavors, and the peaceful ambiance made it a favorite breakfast spot.
For dinner, I fell in love with the lively atmosphere at Cantina Los Faroles. Between the mezcal cocktails and the glowing lamp fixture-lined ceilings, it felt like a true celebration of Mexican culture and design. The energy was vibrant, the food was rich and flavorful, and the service was impeccable.
And then there’s Sunday brunch at Las Cuevas — an event in and of itself. Set in a dramatic cave setting with multiple food stations, live music, and seemingly endless options, it was easily one of the most memorable brunches I’ve ever had. From fresh ceviche to made-to-order chilaquiles and a fully loaded dessert bar, I left both full and fully impressed.
When it came time to unwind, I booked a treatment at the spa — and it turned out to be one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The therapist was intuitive and incredibly skilled, and the entire experience was elevated by the hydrotherapy circuit — hot and cold plunges, a sauna, steam room, and a jet pool that melted every bit of tension away.
Pool days at Xcaret are a mood of their own. Whether I wanted a lazy float under palm trees or a more social, high-energy vibe, there was a space (and soundtrack) for it. I loved that you could curate the day based on your mood — peaceful one moment, playful the next.
And the entertainment? Absolutely stunning. From traditional Mexican performances to live music and theatrical shows, every evening felt like a celebration. It wasn’t background noise — it was a highlight.
Hotel Xcaret México gave me the best of all worlds — natural beauty, intentional design, rich cultural experiences, and unapologetic luxury. It’s the kind of place that’s hard to describe in just one post… and even harder to leave.

French Daze & Ibiza Nights: Inside My Virgin Voyages Mediterranean Cruise
I never thought I’d say this — but I’m a cruise person now. And I have Virgin Voyages to thank for that.
I never thought I’d say this — but I’m a cruise person now. And I have Virgin Voyages to thank for that.
Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to sail the French Daze & Ibiza Nights itinerary aboard Scarlet Lady, departing from Barcelona on a special Celebration Voyage with Richard Branson himself onboard. It was bold, playful, luxurious — everything you wish cruising could be.
And the icing on the cake? I was upgraded to a Mega Rockstar Suite. Specifically, the FAB Suite — and yes, it was just as over-the-top fabulous as the name suggests. Floor-to-ceiling ocean views, a record player with curated vinyl, a stocked bar, and even a private terrace with a hot tub. It felt more like a five-star boutique hotel at sea than anything I ever expected from a cruise.
Onboard, the adults-only atmosphere made a huge difference. No kids, no chaos — just curated fun, elegant design, and spaces that actually let you relax. Whether I was sipping champagne in the Richard’s Rooftop lounge or watching the sunset from the top deck, the entire ship felt like a floating sanctuary for grown-ups.
The dining alone deserves its own post — but highlights included Extra Virgin (their elevated Italian spot), Pink Agave for modern Mexican, and The Wake, a stunning, moody steak and seafood restaurant where the ambiance was just as delicious as the food. And unlike traditional cruises, there are no buffets and no assigned seating — just amazing restaurants you’d actually go to on land.
Entertainment onboard was unexpected and refreshing. Think immersive performances, sultry cabaret, and late-night pop-up shows that break every cruise stereotype. It was spontaneous, fresh, and fun — without ever feeling cheesy or dated.
We made four unforgettable stops along the Mediterranean:
Marseille, Cannes, Mallorca, and Ibiza.
Each port had its own charm, but Mallorca truly stood out for me — a stunning mix of natural beauty, local culture, and picture-perfect streets that felt like a dream to explore.
I’ll be honest: I’ve cruised once before and… let’s just say it didn’t go well (no names, but I left unconvinced). Virgin Voyages changed everything. Their approach to cruising is modern, design-forward, inclusive, and effortlessly cool.
And now? I’m already counting down the days to my next Virgin Voyages adventure this September — their inaugural sailing from NYC to Bermuda. If this last trip was any indication, I’m in for another unforgettable experience.
